Industrial Manufacturing Industry Experts

Joe Caliri - Renewable and Advancing Technologies Manager, Aerospace and Defense Manager

Joe Caliri will be exceeding a decade of experience in the chemical and environmental, health, and safety industries in 2010. A lifelong resident of MA, Joe received his B.A. in Business Management from Westfield State College in 2000 and currently resides in the Metro Boston area.

He began his career as manufacturer’s representative, selling one of the first lines of "green" chemistries in the U.S.  With a vast knowledge of chemical applications, and of course regulation, he made the natural transition into the environmental services industry. He worked for one of the largest national environmental services firms in the country until 2005, when he joined Triumvirate Environmental’s Industrial Division.

Joe quickly became the epitome of what we emphasize as an account manager here at Triumvirate, WOWing his colleagues and clients every day. He takes a holistic approach in evaluating your overall plant operations and implements a reduce, re-use, recycle theory as the baseline for his recommendations. More recently he has become an expert in battery technologies, and developed a sustainable program which has yielded not only drastic waste reduction, but tremendous cost savings for some very high profile clientele across the Northeast.

Joe's principle approach for accounts is to work alongside them to provide innovative and cost effective solutions.  If you would like to arrange for a consultation with Joe, please contact him directly at jcaliri@triumvirate.com

Todd Kato-Medical Device Manager, Food and Beverage Manager

Todd Kato manages Triumvirate’s business at medical device companies, food and beverage companies, pharmaceutical clients, and industrial chemical companies. He works with existing and prospective clients in these niches to increase efficiencies in their EHS department and offer creative solutions for their departmental and corporate goals. Todd also mentors the technical staff that is a part of the project team for each of these clients. He has been on the staff at Triumvirate Environmental for over 3 years, with experience working across the life sciences, industrial, and higher education niches.

Todd has over 16 years of environmental services experience, is a CHMM, and holds a BS in Environmental Sciences from Rutgers University. His career relative to the industry began back in 1993 as a lab pack chemist working at many different client sites. This direct field experience was critical in developing Todd’s initial environmental management knowledge. Upon leaving his field chemist position, he spent 9 years working as an environmental engineer at a large chemical R&D center for a Fortune 500 company.

Todd’s career there gave him invaluable experience in hazardous waste management, radioactive waste management, environmental capital projects, surface water and ground water compliance, and safety compliance training. He was also the Incident Commander for the site emergency response team and the technical environmental contact for any spills or safety concerns for his employer’s products around the world. The site that Todd worked at was permitted to be a RCRA Part B Facility. This provided him with additional experience in permit compliance and communications/inspections with the NJDEP and EPA.

In October of 2002, Todd Kato left his environmental engineer position to assume an account management position for a commercial hazardous waste incinerator. He brought with him the unique skill set of an environmental services account manager that spent extensive time as a client to environmental service companies. This was a very smooth transition as he could and still does relate to his clients and prospective clients as he previously held their position on the client side of the business.

In summary, Todd Kato is a diverse environmental professional with significant experience as a generator/client and as an environmental services partner to his clients. His educational and work career has always been focused on compliance and projects in all environmental media.

Paul Saccente - Consumer Goods Manager

Paul Saccente has 10 years experience in the environmental industry and holds a BS in Natural Resources Management and Engineering from the University of Connecticut. His career began as a lab pack chemist in 1999 and throughout the years, has been promoted to Lab Pack Manager and Field Services Project Manager. He currently holds the position of Industrial Account Manager at Triumvirate Environmental.

In addition to his role as an Account manager, Paul also chairs the Consumer Goods group, a division of Triumvirate Environmental that focuses specifically on the needs of household and "direct to market" product manufacturers. This group provides a wide variety of services including environmental consulting, innovative waste minimization solutions, and secure destruction of off-specification products and associated packaging

Working in the Industrial sector has given him the opportunity to expand his knowledge and interest in various manufacturing sectors. These sectors have included resin and adhesive manufacturing, electroplating, circuit board manufacturing, and surgical equipment manufacturing. By understanding the complex order in which products and materials are made, it has allowed Paul to develop waste minimization and recycling strategies for many of his clients. Some of the strategies have been metal bearing waste recycling, water usage and natural resource reduction, and finding alternative uses for off specification product. The importances of these strategies are to help the client reduce production costs, lower environmental impact, and create green marketing opportunities through waste reduction and recycling.

In order to adapt to the ever changing manufacturing market and to the needs of his clients, Paul has also been directly involved with and managed the decommissioning, closure and remediation of various facilities throughout the Northeast. These projects have included hazardous waste storage area closures, UST removal, site assessments and contaminated soil excavation.

As manufacturing continues to adapt to more environmentally sustainable concepts, Paul Saccente looks forward to partnering with existing and future clients to service the ever changing, exciting and complex needs that face the consumer goods industry.
