Tier II and Biennial RCRA Hazardous Waste reports are mandatory for many US organizations.

• Tier II reports are required for organizations that store hazardous chemicals in amounts exceeding specified thresholds. Organizations are required to file if hazardous materials storage at any site equals or exceeds 10,000 pounds or specific Threshold Planning Quantities (TPQs) for Extremely Hazardous Substances (EHSs). 
• Biennial RCRA Hazardous Waste reports require Large Quantity Generators (LQGs) to detail activities for the previous calendar year if the site generated in a single calendar month 1,000 kg (2,200 lbs) or more of RCRA hazardous waste; generated in a single calendar month or accumulated at any time more than 1 kg (2.2 lbs) of RCRA acute hazardous waste; or generated in a single calendar month or accumulated at any time more than 100 kg (220 lbs) of spill clean-up material contaminated with RCRA acute hazardous waste.
