Decoding the OSHA Regulations for Multi-Employer Worksites

Overview

There are many OSHA risks and fines associated with running a multi-employer worksite. OSHA’s 1999 multi-employer citation policy established a clear citation guidance and a two-step determination process. It is important for multi-employer worksites to understand the policy and their citation liabilities. Employers also must understand the differences between and the responsibilities associated with the exposing employer, creating employer, controlling employer, and correcting employer.

Attend this session for a full understanding of:

  • Best practices for assessing OSHA risks associated with running a multi-employer worksite and ensuring compliance
  • The difference between creating, correcting, controlling, and exposing employers
  • The different responsibilities as a creating, correcting, or controlling employer vs. an exposing employer
  • Applicable OSHA citations for employers whose employees are not exposed to the hazard
