At New Jersey construction, demolition, and remediation sites, any off-location contaminant and dust migration is a major risk. To address this concern, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) has recently made major updates to its perimeter air monitoring requirements.
To remain compliant, New Jersey environmental and construction engineering teams must properly understand the new rules, which involve implementing perimeter air monitoring systems (including air sensors) to accurately measure contaminant and particulate levels at a project site—as well as adjacent high-risk areas (such as schools or residential neighborhoods).
Successful New Jersey state site monitoring requires ultra-sensitive, high-technology, cloud-based solutions that continuously sample the air and measure contaminants.
