Organizational push for sustainability is forcing manufacturers to consider their waste generation and plastic recycling practices, in pursuit of new and creative waste management options that will maintain product integrity while improving sustainability initiatives. Waste diversion and management is not as simple as just “recycling”—especially in manufacturing; caveats exist that complicate the process. Luckily, there are ways to take challenging, high-environmental impact materials and dispose of them in a creative and sufficient way, that meets specifications and improves overall operational sustainability.
