e-Manifest Now in Effect
On June 30th 2018, the Environmental Protection Agency implemented a new digital tracking system for all manifests tied to hazardous waste shipments across the US. This includes state regulated hazardous waste as well as federally regulated RCRA waste. The system is designed to centralize hazardous waste tracking information in one database that is accessible to everyone involved in the disposal process from generator to final disposal facility. The program replaces the current format by requiring that final disposal facilities upload manifest information to the e-manifest system.
Triumvirate Environmental is coordinating with disposal facilities and other transporters to ensure that the implementation of the new system is as seamless as possible. Triumvirate continues to manage documentation of waste through updated paper manifests which meet the new system requirements and provide manifest information to the EPA from our facilities. Third-party facilities also provide manifests to the EPA, and clients can access their finalized manifest information through the EPA system.
