For those of you who don't know, the Clean Air Act (CAA) is a national law designed to help control air pollution. It was developed by the EPA and applies to all organizations producing air borne contaminants that may be harmful to the general population. Failure to comply with the Clean Air Act can lead to up to $50,000 in fines and a year in jail.

  1. Permit not conspicuously posted near the air pollution source.
  1. Emissions are not being tracked as stated in the facility permit.
  1. The facility has added new equipment and not updated their permit.
