WEBINAR ON-DEMAND

Back-to-School Complexities: Q&A on Safely
Reopening Higher Education Institutions

Originally presented on June 11, 2020

As we head into June, professionals at Higher Education institutions are usually celebrating another successful graduating class and enjoying some much-deserved time off. Instead they are grappling with if and when to reopen campuses in the fall. Factoring in the many nuances of college campuses and limited regulatory guidance, they have a difficult path forward in developing comprehensive reopening plans and then maintaining a safe environment once the semester begins.

With the complexities come questions. In this webinar, Triumvirate Environmental’s experts tackle the pressing questions on the minds of Higher Ed professionals. Leveraging their success preparing businesses to reopen safely, the speakers discuss a framework for colleges and universities to evaluate risks and craft a reopening plan to prevent, mitigate, and respond to the transmission of SARS-CoV-2.

During this Q&A-style webinar, our speakers answer questions on topics such as:

  • Effective governance structures for colleges and universities in order to prepare a coordinated reopening plan
  • Facility preparedness, such as disinfection procedures, validation of critical safety devices, and dormant building assessment & remediation
  • Operational readiness, such as decisions around virtual classes and modifying work shifts in labs
  • Campus health & safety policies to reduce SARS-CoV-2 transmission, including face coverings & PPE, and social distancing in shared labs
  • Student and staff-related policies when someone gets sick, including contact tracing and implementing self-isolation policies
